I am super excited to be the Karearea Whānau Leader this year.

As a child, I grew up next door in the township of Onewhero and often visited Pokeno for yummy ice cream!

I have been teaching for many years including facilitating Professional Development opportunities for teachers around Using Technology.

I am looking forward to supporting the Karearea Whānau this year.

My name is Hendrihet Murran, I am from South Africa and started teaching in 1985. I am excited to be part of the teaching staff of Karearea Whanau.
I am happily married to a loving husband, Deon Murran. I have 3 children and 3 grandchildren. I enjoy spending time with people, doing all sorts of paper crafts, and staying fit.
I look forward to getting to know my new whanau this year.

Past 30 years I have lived in Tuakau and I now live on my whenua in Onewhero. I am married with five tamariki and four mokopuna. My teaching journey started at the Tuakau Learning Centre Tuakau, I have also gained experience and knowledge from Onewhero Area School and Tuakau Primary. I am looking forward to gaining more knowledge and experience at Pokeno School.

My name is Stacey Goodwin, and I am delighted to begin my teaching journey with Pokeno School in 2023.

I’m happy to be part of our Karearea Whanau and teach our year 7’s and 8’s.

I live in Pokeno with my partner and two children, and I enjoy spending time with family and friends, baking, and reading.

I am excited to meet students and their whanau and continue the adventure of learning together.

My name is Aimee Burnett and I am excited to be teaching at Pokeno School and looking forward to being a part of the Karearea Whanau this year teaching our awesome Year 6-8 students. This is my first year at Pokeno school, I have been teaching in Primary and Intermediate schools in South Auckland for the last 12 years.
I live in Pokeno with my husband and 2 children. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading a good book, going to our family bach and fishing, travelling and visiting new places and going to the theatre.
I am passionate about teaching and creating a space where students can thrive.

My name is Maggie Rani and I’m excited to be part of Pokeno school this year. I am from Fiji and have been teaching in New Zealand for 5 years.

I am married and have a 10 year old son. We have been living in Pokeno for the past 3 years and love being part of this beautiful community.

I am looking forward to meeting my students and their whanau and continuing my learning and teaching journey at Pokeno School.
