I am Miss Haylee Shore and I am Room 3's new entrants teacher.
I have been at Pokeno for almost a year. Previous to teaching at Pokeno I managed a transition to school centre. I am passionate about bridging the gap between primary school and early childhood centres and supporting tamariki on their transition into school.
I live in Tuakau and have two wonderful children Millen (8) and Ronni (6). My hobbies include travel, camping and up-cycling furniture, spending time with family and friends.

Hello
My name is Jacqui Methven and it is my pleasure and privilege to walk alongside your children on their learning journey - I am delighted to be teaching our new entrants in Room 4.
My background is in primary teaching, but most recently I have worked and trained in the early childhood sector where I have been able to develop my philosophy of play-based learning. I am excited to combine my primary and early childhood knowledge and experience to benefit our five year olds beginning school.
I live in Pukekohe with my family and am excited to be a part of the Pokeno team.
Room 5 (Yr 1/2)
My name is Rachel Potter and I am very excited to be teaching Year 1 and 2 in Room Five. I originally started working at Pokeno School as a reliever in 2021 and then opened a New Entrants class halfway through last year.
I have taught a variety of year groups in both a permanent and casual capacity, but am particularly enthusiastic about teaching in the junior school.
In my free time I enjoy watching documentaries, reading, baking, walking my dog Scout, gardening and I am attempting to learn how to sew! I live in Pukekohe with my husband Karl and our very excitable dog.
I look forward to getting to know you all better over the course of the year.
