General Information

Kia Ora,

I’m Tracey McVeigh.

I’m originally from Hamilton and have lived in Pukekohe for several years after living and working in the UK. Living in London gave me the opportunity to travel extensively through Europe visiting many amazing places. But there is no place like home.

I’m an experienced teacher, and have spent many years working in South Auckland. I have a passion for teaching and learning and especially enjoy watching students grow in independence as learners and having those ‘aha’ moments.

In my spare time, I like to be with my family and friends, being active - walking and cycling, travelling and ‘upcycling’ old furniture.

I look forward to getting to know students and their families, celebrating their successes together.

My family & I moved to Pokeno in June 2019 and enjoy living in such a great community. Prior to this we were on a dairy farm near Morrinsville.

I thoroughly enjoy working with the amazing staff and students at Pokeno School.

In my spare time I love getting out and about for walks and bike rides and spending time with family and friends.

Library / Resources

General Information

I've been a teacher aide for over 10 years and my role with Pokeno School is my most varied. I love the work I get to do within my role as the librarian and can't wait for the new library to be built! I like to think of myself as being part of a big family/village here at Pokeno, helping to shape and encourage our diverse learners.

I have 3 adult daughters and love getting together as a family as often as possible.
