Virginija Werder
Harakeke 3
Hi, my name is Virginija Werder. I am originally from Tauranga and made the exciting move to Pukekohe in August last year to begin a new chapter in my life and career. I am also really excited to be moving into our first home with my partner Nic and beginning this new chapter of our lives together as welI. I am currently in my first year of teaching and have really enjoyed working with Year 1 students so far, as I love their curiosity, energy, and enthusiasm for learning. I have always had a strong passion for working with children, which naturally led me into teaching. I am eager to continue developing my teaching practice, building my confidence, and finding new ways to create a positive and engaging learning environment for my students.
Outside of teaching, I have a big love for sport and the outdoors. I enjoy staying active and especially love playing squash, and I have really enjoyed being part of the community at the Franklin Squash Club. I also have a passion for travelling and exploring new places. Before starting my teaching career, I travelled throughout Europe and have visited a total of 27 countries, which gave me a wide range of experiences and a deeper appreciation for different cultures. I hope to continue travelling and visiting even more countries later in life. I would describe myself as a kind-hearted and gentle person who values connection, growth, and making a positive impact on those around me.
