General Information

My name is Sue Borrie and I am excited to be a teacher at Pokeno School.

I have a Year 2/3 class in Room 10 ( Ruru whanau). Prior to this position I was teaching as a day to day reliever at various local school for 3 terms in 2022. I had resigned from a position in a country school that year.

We moved from Howick to Pokeno seven years ago, after building our home.
I am married to Malcolm and we have 4 adult children, who have children of their own.

I have taught for many years and went back fulltime after a 14 year break to bring up my children. My specialty has been new Entrants to Year 2 and I enjoy teaching the Arts which includes Visual Art, Music and Dance.

My outside activities include coffees, walking, tramping and travel. But my greatest passion is keeping in touch with my children and grandchildren.

I have also become a student of history, especially from the Middle East and Europe. As part of my travels I have holidayed in the UK and Israel.
