Pokeno School

Gala Day is a version of a calf club day (without the animals). It is a family fun day and our biggest fundraising opportunity for the year. The School PTA spends hours organising raffles, prizes, entertainment, and carnival games for our community.

The classrooms are decorated with artwork and we have displays of all the more traditional style calf club, construction, and baking projects. The artwork on display will have been completed over the course of the year as part of classroom programs. 

There are also Home Projects that we encourage learners and families to participate in. These include options of construction, baking, and upcycling generally related to learning and inquiry topics in class.

We encourage you to look at Home Projects throughout the holidays and get started or brainstorm if you can! Please keep completed projects at home until Friday 17th November (the day before the Gala).
