Noo reira, teenaa raa Koutou katoa.
Kia ora, my name is Whaea Honey.
I am originally from the Wairarapa, and have grown up on farms all my life. I moved to Hamilton 5 years ago to study Primary School teaching, and Te Reo Maaori. Last year I graduated from Waikato University, and have since had the amazing opportunity to join Pokeno School as a beginning teacher.
In my spare time I like to go to the beach, go fishing, camping, and hangout with my family, partner and friends.
I look forward to getting to know and working with the students, staff, whanau and wider community of Pokeno this year.
Ngaa manaakitanga o te wa.
P.S. “Whaea” is said as “Fire” in English
